ARCHITECTURE & ENVIRONMENT
This module introduced the environment and its purpose for the built environment. Not only does this module educate on the necessity of the environment but it also raises important concerns on todays modern architecture.
Project 1
This project was done in a group of 4, we focused on 'green' building, essentially efficient building. Based on this topic we were meant to write a 400 word essay based on any subtopic for green architecture. my group chose the title 'Adaptive Reuse: Reuse or wrecking ball' we focused on the usefulness of adaptive reuse and proved the benefits of reusing old buildings instead of tearing it down.
This project challenged our team working, researching and creative skills. All sorts of challenges were faced from creating out our title all the way to figuring out which old building to focus on and when to view the site.
Project 2
This projects theme is 'lighting'. In a group of 6 we created a poster focusing on natural lighting for a specific building in that area. Our location was Houston, Texas 'Glassell school of art"
In this project a couple of the groupmates including me developed new skills using revit and photoshop to achieve the overall desire of this poster.
